BEADWORK & BRACELETS / MAKE WITH A PLAN

An editable alphabet. A pattern to follow.

Use the built-in 5 × 7 block alphabet to lay out names and short messages. Letter size, spacing and a beaded border are adjustable.

    An editable alphabet

A–Z, 0–9, spaces and - . ! ? are supported. Lowercase is converted to uppercase; unsupported characters are flagged.

    A square-grid motif

The output is a picture made from ordinary colored beads, suitable for a loom-style grid. It is not an alphabet-bead shopping list.

    From chart to supplies

Count every structural bead, including the foundation and background. Keep the editable JSON, then export a PDF, PNG, word chart or CSV.

    How to use this tool

    01

    Write your message

Enter text, letter scale, spacing and border width, then generate the letters.

    02

    Refine the motif

Set your own color codes, then draw or convert an image. Use numbered symbols, coordinate edits and row highlighting to check the design.

    03

    Follow the working order

Read the construction notes and word chart. Measure a sample before relying on size estimates; add your own finishing and closure allowances.

      Frequently asked questions

Does this use physical letter beads?

No. Colored beads form large pixel-style letters. The material table counts those colors, including the background. If you want printed alphabet beads, plan those separately.

Can I use the letters directly for peyote?

This output uses a square grid. Peyote uses staggered beads, so it needs a new chart in the Peyote tool. A PNG can be used as an image reference there, but review the converted letter shapes.

Are these official brand color codes?

No. The starter colors are illustrative. Enter your own code, name and hex reference for each color. Screen matching is approximate; confirm your beads or thread against a physical sample.

Does the size estimate include finishing?

No. It uses the horizontal and vertical pitch you enter. Thread tension, bead variation, clasps, ties and edge treatments are separate. For cuffs, the unwrapped path is not a guaranteed inside wrist measurement.

Can I reopen the exported files?

JSON preserves the editable chart. PNG, PDF, CSV and word charts are exports, not project files. Your browser draft is local to this device; save JSON before clearing browser data.
